Our team designed and built gardens on five Floors, including the street-front. Each garden creates a whimsical moment, serving as a unique backdrop for the hotel rooms and common spaces. We wove willow fences into many of the gardens and implemented an over-the-top 4 season planting plan that created an instant impact upon installation.
We completely redesigned the rear yard, including a clear cedar new deck, outdoor kitchen, lawn, and perennial gardens. We paid special attention to fencing, designing it to meet the landmarks preservation committee's guidelines while still providing a significant increase in privacy. We updated the property to serve the clients and their growing family better.
Our team, working in coordination with Rebecca McMackin, created the array of perennial gardens along the frontage at the Brooklyn Museum. We introduced seating, lighting, and wayfinding elements throughout the garden and transformed the once bland space into a gift for the community.
We designed two temporary street eateries for Eatlay to serve their restaurants. In Soho, we introduced a series of cobalt blue aluminum and marble planters and a simple, elegant planting. The Flatiron location was a more intensive approach. We created an intensive planting in the triangle opposite of the Flatiron. The space was transformed into a street eatery that gives you a feel of Italy in the middle of Manhattan.
Existing rooftop renovation for a high-end multi-family housing complex. The primary element of the design was the pergola. The pergola spans the entire space and creates a shady environment for two outdoor dinning set ups. We also added in new furniture and reworked the plantings.
We did a full landscape redesign. We replanted the entry and completely flipped the landscape to better accommodate the pool and outdoor dining. We tucked the pool off to the side and floated it in a verdant lawn. Perennials dot the spaces and provide seasonal interest.
